Since it started, Lindsay's "It's The Little Things" has attracted such a great group of bloggers! It's always so much fun to visit the blogs of the people that participate and leave comments as well as see who visits me and leaves me a comment. Thanks for visiting and your comments!
My favorite Little Things are deals, so here are my big purchases/little price Little Things from the last few weeks ...
$4.88 sweaters at LOFT. I bought four! Two were originally priced at $49.50 and two were originally priced at $69.50 -- that's $238 worth of sweaters for $19.52. Here's three of the sweaters (I bought the stripe sweater for both myself and my sister) ...
$.99 chargers at Sur la Table for my mom. She is obsessed with using chargers on special occasions and these high quality chargers were originally $4.95 each but had been marked down twice and landed at $.99. I love to have gifts like this "on the shelf" -- it allows me to give a thoughtful and expensive ($40 retail value) gift for just $8 when the time comes to give her a gift.
$.04 flowers at World Market. These were originally $4.99 a stem and I bought four; that's $20 worth of fake flowers for $.04. Each stem was marked down to $.99 but rang up at $.01 each. They were priced so low the cashier couldn't figure out how to use my coupon for 10% off my total purchase.
They look so romantic with my great-grandmother's vintage basket, they still need the bow from my wedding bouquet to hide the fake stems.
$1.07 Target trip. Thanks to Chitown Cheapskate's most recent Target freebie post, I bought everything in the photo below for $1.07. I love my new free Maybelline Baby Lips, I recommend it -- it's very similar to a Bath & Body Works C.O. Bigelow chapstick I've purchased in the past.
Chicago visit and $9.99 infinity scarf. My mom and I visited my sister in downtown last weekend and dined at Caffe de Luca. I ordered Grilled Shrimp Po’ Boy -- shrimp, tomato, arugula, celery, lemon vinaigrette, herb aioli, served on pretzel ciabatta -- which was amazing. We also shopped a bit and I bought a Bears sweatshirt for $20, down from $64 at Urban Outfitters. Hello, I have lived in Illinois for 24 years, I should still own at least one Bears item for football season. I aim to build my Blackhawks and Cubs apparel collection over the next year, too. My mom also bought me a pair of knee high socks from Levi's for $7 (marked down from $24) and an infinity scarf from Urban for $10 (marked down from $24).
Galentine's Day gift from Ashlea. My dear friend, Ashlea, left me a Galentine's Day gift on our front porch before I left for my Michigan getaway. I've been telling her I wanted dried lavender for our bedroom and she delivered with this grow-your-own kit. I saw my first little bud this week!
$25 off $50 of groceries at Safeway. I transferred both of our monthly prescriptions to our area Safeway store and received two coupons for $25 off $50 of groceries.
Whew ... so many deals to talk about, I'm feeling overwhelmed with thankfulness for the little

You are the queen of deals!! Love your Bears shirt. My husband is a Vikings fan. I don't like football but I do enjoy wearing Bears stuff just to stir him up. Happy week-end!
ReplyDeleteMan you are rocking on the deals! Great finds.
ReplyDeleteI love the fake roses! I'm partial to roses (and flowers) anyway, but those are super cool. I love how you have them in the vintage basket. However, the best part is that they were almost free!!
ReplyDeleteI am exhausted just reading this woman. You are a deal-finding machine!
ReplyDeleteAnd YAY! I made the post! That always makes my day - and trust me - today is a day I needed it!
Wow! I'm impressed with all the deals you found this week! First, those sweaters are ALL adorable! And how fun is a grow your own lavender kit! That's a great gift idea! Stopping by from Hello Hue.
ReplyDeleteThose sweaters are amazing, and they look gorgeous on you lady :) Hopping over from Hello Hue :)

ReplyDeleteso fun :)
Ah, you got me on the bag credit and I totally have a Target debit card but rarely use it since we get 5% back on our other card, too ... love to have a fellow deal hunter stop by :)
Deleteah, gotcha :)
Deleteso do you have a fellow deal hunting buddy to shop with? or do you enjoy going solo? lately i have seen a lot of 'teams' of girls couponing at Target!
I usually shop alone, but my husband comes with sometimes. He's either impressed and/or annoyed (when coupons don't scan) ;) What about you?
DeleteI do have a good friend who has lead me to all the deal bloggers I follow. A lot of my savings are done online, too.
Do you follow blogs? If so, you'll have to email me who you follow alliferguson {at} me.com ...
